In June of 2021 I followed along in a daily drawing challenge hosted by Ello Lovey on instagram to get some practice making a whole drawing every day.
After drawing the first drawing, I was inspired to continue drawing the same ghosts each day in different ways to fit the prompts.
When I could, I inserted them into neat objects to play with volume and form.

Some images made sense to me on their own, for the sheer whimsy of it all. However, so feel a little more abstract without context.
I admit, I got a little caught up in mental world building over the course of a month. Asking questions like “just how do these ghosts work? Can they eat? Are they food? Do they have friends?
After the challenge ended I was still preoccupied by these little ghost friends. I think maybe they should turn into a book or something. I started exploring wellness.
Eventually it was actually proper Halloween season, when folks typically draw ghosts. So I drew even more.
I’ve had a blast drawing these cute pink blobby ghosts, and don’t plan on stopping any time soon. Visit My Society6 and TeePublic Shops if you’re interested in shirts, prints or stickers.
